Job Responsibilities
- The Staff Accountant will:
- Post daily cash receipts (ACHs, wires, checks) accurately and on time.
- Prepare journal entries including reclasses, prepaid, and accrual to support timely close.
- Reconcile and analyze assigned balance sheet accounts with full supporting documentation.
- Resolve discrepancies by taking initiative to identify and correct balancing issues.
- Provide backup support for accounts payable, vendor payments, mail sorting and other related processing to ensure continuity.
- Deliver superior customer service to both internal and external partners.
- Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time, by the VP of Finance or the President of THSP.
Required Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field.
- 3+ years experience in a similar accounting role.
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, internal controls.
- Knowledge of MS Office / Excel, complex accounting; ability to manipulate, analyze data.
- Highly motivated self-starter that embraces the challenge of finding unique solutions to challenging problems.
- Proven oral and written communication skills, organizational and presentation skills to interact with internal and external business partners.
- High quality standards and meticulous attention to detail.
- Work from office five days a week.
Compensation
Competitive compensation consisting of base salary and an annual performance bonus.
