Overview:
Contributes and assists in the monthly accounting cycle while working independently with guidance. Eager to learn and analyze financial information. Anticipates job expectations while performing accounting tasks requiring application of standard techniques and knowledge.Responsibilities:
- Reviews and reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts for each country for monthly reconciliation
- Books monthly journal entries, including reclasses and accruals for each company
- Reviews expenses to ensure all expense accounts in all companies are recorded properly, and if not reclasses to the proper sections and offices
- Applies payments daily to invoices from cash receipts and preparing a consultant payment amount based on invoices paid
- Prepares cash logs for daily deposit files and associated documents
- Reviews fixed asset items in holding account; reclasses into appropriate asset when item is placed into service and adds the asset into Sage software
- Prepares and books fixed asset depreciation monthly
- Assists with government surveys such as BEA 125, Quarterly Services, Service Reports
- Runs Rev Gen on weekly and monthly basis so that revenue results can we reported
- Prepares consolidated reporting each month
- Assists with various ad-hoc reporting, journal entries, research, requests, and any necessary adjustments
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically with 2+ years of experience
- Experience in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience in Deltek Vision preferred
- Working knowledge of accounting, GAAP principles and data entry
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate results
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
- Ability to problem solve and apply appropriate solutions
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work activities and use time efficiently
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
