The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
Responsibilities:
- Record and classify financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Account and P&L analysis compared to budget and historical
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Identify opportunities to improve policies and procedures.
- Assist in annual audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel – it’s a Must Have, Word).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft GP or NetSuite – Preferred but not required
