We are looking for a remote highly skilled Staff Accountant to assist in the preparation, review,and analysis of financial statements for Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica. The successful
candidate will have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reconcile company bank statements, and other external accounts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including expense reports,statutory books, and general ledger
- Create weekly journal entries to post bank fees, payroll, and intercompany cross charge entries in NetSuite
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, balance sheet reconciliations for Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards
- Maintain local tax regulation deadline worksheet
- 2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency in NetSuite, excel, and expensify
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (Proficient in written/spoken English)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
