EquipmentShare is searching for a Staff Accountant who is detail-oriented and is looking for a fast-paced environment to be a key contributor to our month-end accounting close, prepare journal entries, perform detailed review procedures over data sets, and to prepare account reconciliations.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, employee-minded company.  This is a position located in Columbia, Missouri.  

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close procedures including preparation of journal entries, detailed review procedures over data sets, and prepare monthly account reconciliations. 

• Perform detail level expense review on a regular basis.

• Code invoices, set up new accounts, and perform detailed research on transaction activity.

• Gather necessary account information and documents to assist with the annual audit.

• Perform other related duties or assist with special projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Solid knowledge of financial accounting.

• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

• Experience with various financial reporting systems, including Sage Intacct.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong Excel, Google Sheet, or similar spreadsheet tools.

• Solid ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

 Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.

• Preference given to those with accounting experience.
