Trinity Solar, one of the nation’s leading residential solar companies, is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to build broad experience, take ownership of meaningful work, and gain exposure to multiple areas of a fast-moving business.

You’ll work on everything from general ledger accounting and reconciliations to financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and process improvement. More importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to understand the why behind the numbers and see how your work connects to the performance of the business.

Compensation: $95,000-$110,000/year plus 10% annual bonus potential

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, financial records, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze general ledger activity and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with financial reports, schedules, and analysis for leadership.
• Research discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
• Help ensure accounting activities comply with company policies, GAAP, and applicable requirements.
• Partner with teams across the organization to resolve accounting questions and support financial operations.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve accounting processes.
• Gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Support additional accounting and finance initiatives as the business evolves.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of accounting, financial operations, or related experience preferred.
• Public accounting experience and/or CPA or CPA-track experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with financial data.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
• A proactive mindset—you’re comfortable asking questions, digging into the details, and looking for better ways to get things done.
