Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for month-end closing procedures, creating Standard Operating Procedures, and external audit support. They will assist in documentation of all recurring tasks and cross-training members of accounting team to ensure shared knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Month-end closing procedures including:
- Recording of journal entries
- Preparation of bank reconciliation statements
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of Financial Statements
- Preparation of Accounts Balance Statements (ABS) for all key balance sheet accounts
- Creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all recurring tasks
- ERP Transition support (from JDE to D365)
- Coordination with parent company (Amcor) for transitions / handover of current Vybond processes
- External audit support and coordination
- Ad hoc analysis

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an accountant with duties including month-end close, preparation of financial statements, external audit support, and creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Experience in supporting a sales organization and/or in an industrial distribution environment is a plus.
