Job Summary

The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for month-end closing procedures, creating Standard Operating Procedures, and external audit support. They will assist in documentation of all recurring tasks and cross-training members of accounting team to ensure shared knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-end closing procedures including:
    • Recording of journal entries
    • Preparation of bank reconciliation statements
    • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
    • Preparation of Financial Statements
  • Preparation of Accounts Balance Statements (ABS) for all key balance sheet accounts
  • Creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all recurring tasks
  • ERP Transition support (from JDE to D365)
  • Coordination with parent company (Amcor) for transitions / handover of current Vybond processes
  • External audit support and coordination
  • Ad hoc analysis

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an accountant with duties including month-end close, preparation of financial statements, external audit support, and creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience in supporting a sales organization and/or in an industrial distribution environment is a plus.

Job Requirements / Skills

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.

  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, etc.).

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, external audit support, and SOP creation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Power BI
