Staff Accountant Job SummaryThe Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records for multiple nursing facilities. This role supports month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Perform full-cycle accounting for 7-9 assigned facilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and variance reports
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank accounts
- Prepare and post general ledger journal entries
- Generate and reconcile payroll integration files to the general ledger
- Maintain fixed asset records including additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of assigned accounting functions
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Monday through Friday at the corporate office for the first 90 days of employment. After 90 days, the in-effect corporate office schedule will apply.
