Staff Accountant

Responsible for preparing and analyzing financial data to produce accurate and timely financial reports according to the principles of IFRS.

Essential Functions:

• Reconcile and record weekly payroll transactions and related month-end journal entries.
• Reconcile and analyze monthly sales tax activities to support compliance processes.
• Assist with submission of required financial reporting to the parent company.
• Participate in the improvement of assigned accounting processes and procedures.
• Assist with related audits and preparation of audit schedules and requests from auditors.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills:

• B.S. Degree, or equivalent, from a four-year college or technical school
• Minimum of 2 years accounting experience 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good organizational skills to ensure timely goal completion and accurate reporting

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of IFRS, applicable laws, and regulations
• Experience with Vertex

Physical Demands:  

• Regularly required to sit, stand; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to talk and hear. Seldom lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
