Role OverviewThe Plaza is hiring a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations, including AP/AR, payroll, monthly reconciliations, General Excise Tax (GET) reporting, and month-end close.
Key Responsibilities-
AP/AR & Billing: Process weekly invoices, vendor payments, resident billings, cash receipts, and trust account transfers. Reconcile vendor statements.

General Ledger & Month-End: Post recurring journal entries, perform GL and bank/credit card reconciliations, and help prepare monthly financial packets.

Payroll & Tax: Review payroll, balance benefit reports, issue manual checks, and prepare monthly General Excise Tax (GET) filings.

Operations & Admin: Oversee credit card expense reporting, support community office managers with billing queries, and assist with basic office administration.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent practical experience.

Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office.

Must meet company health and physical requirements (including communicable disease clearance).

Bachelor’s in accounting.

3+ years in accounting; 1+ year in high-volume AP/AR.

Experience with Sage Intacct, PointClickCare, and Enquire.

Advanced Excel skills.

Frequent sitting/standing; occasional bending, reaching, and light lifting.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience

- Three or more years of accounting experience
- One or more years of high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
