A growing organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its General Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their experience across the month-end close process, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
The Staff Accountant will support key accounting functions including month-end close, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and audit support. This role offers broad exposure to multiple areas of accounting and provides opportunities to develop technical skills while partnering with teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Prepare supporting schedules and account reconciliations, including prepaid accounts and bank reconciliations
- Support expense reporting and purchase requisition processes
- Assist with accounts payable activities as needed
- Participate in year-end audit preparation and special projects
- Help improve accounting processes and support accurate financial reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software
- Experience with Concur, Great Plains, or Business Central preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
