Position Summary
Staff Accountant responsible for reviewing and reconciling investment accounting information, preparing monthly journal entries, and assisting in the preparation of investment reports and analytics.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reviewing and reconciling daily trade activity.
- Reconciling par reconciliation between accounting system and custodian banks.
- Performing system data integrity checks prior to the monthly and quarterly close.
- Assist in preparing and loading monthly and quarterly journal entries for each accounting close.
- Assist in preparing internal supporting schedules for both STAT and GAAP.
- Assist with the various audits of the company records, working with internal and external auditors.
- Assisting managers and co-workers with special projects.
Candidate Background
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience (investment accounting/operations is a plus).
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as this position will work with other departments throughout the monthly and quarterly close process.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong work ethic and analytical skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and function independently and effectively.
Compensation
Annual base salary for the position is expected to be from $75,000 per year to $95,000 per year. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions. This position also provides applicable employee benefits, as well as eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
