The Staff Accountant supports the month-end close and day-to-day accounting operations. You’ll prepare journal entries and reconciliations, maintain accurate ledgers, assist with AP/AR, and produce timely reports that are compliant with US GAAP. Detail, ownership, and reliability are key.
Key Responsibilities-
General Ledger & Close

Prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries (accruals, prepaids, deferrals, intercompany).

Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly (bank, AR, AP, fixed assets, payroll liabilities, loans).

Assist with monthly/quarterly close and flux/variance analyses.

Accounts Payable/Receivable Support

Review invoices for coding/approvals; help with payment runs and vendor setup (W-9/1099).

Apply customer payments, research short-pays/chargebacks, and support collections as needed.

Systems & Process Improvement

Use ERP and reporting tools to streamline workflows; help implement automation and data quality checks.

Qualifications

Education: BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required.

Experience: 1–3 years of accounting experience (Hotel Accounting); multi-entity or multi-location experience a plus.

Technical: Solid US GAAP fundamentals; strong Excel/Google Sheets (lookups, pivots); experience with ERPs (e.g., Dataplus, Sage Intacct, M3, SAP, or Oracle).

Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, strong organization and time management, clear written/verbal communication, and problem-solving mindset.

Nice to Have: Exposure to revenue recognition, and experience with Dataplus accounting system
