Position Title: Staff Accountant 1
Business Unit: Finance
Reports to: Supervisor of Accounts Payable
Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for direct mass imports of electronic bills into the Accounts Payable software, maintenance of the corporation's Fixed Asset system for all affiliates, documentation of monthly depreciation, asset additions and disposals, additions and capitalization of both Construction and Projects in Process systems and the creation of general ledger entries.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintains the corporation’s Fixed Asset system for all affiliates and documents monthly depreciation, additions, disposals of assets and annual mass disposal, Projects in Process (PIP), Construction in Process (CIP) and periodic validation of assets and mergers.
Processes auto payments including vendor files, corporate credit cards, expense reports and evaluates A/P workflow for additional vendors to auto payment program.
Supports the Accounts Payable and Reconciliations process including the management of property tax payments, standard journal entry processing, foundation requests, invoice entry, reconciliation department backup, on-line general ledger entry creation and file uploads.
Participates in special projects as needed including database mergers, scans, expense reports, credit card processing and template creation.
Completes training as required to maintain position.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
