As an AWS DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer, you will take a lead role in designing, building, and maintaining a highly scalable and reliable infrastructure leveraging AWS, Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform. You will play a pivotal role in bridging operations and development teams to ensure the seamless delivery and deployment of high-quality applications. This position requires extensive expertise in cloud architecture, CI/CD methodologies, and infrastructure as code, along with the ability to influence and mentor stakeholders across the organization. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and hands-on member who is passionate about advancing best practices in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Architect and Design: Lead the architecture and design of highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions on AWS, ensuring best practices in performance, reliability, and security.

Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance of applications and infrastructure, employing advanced techniques to optimize configurations and resource utilization.

Collaborative Leadership: Partner closely with development and operations to define infrastructure requirements, provide expert guidance on best practices, and influence change and improvements within the organization.

Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in the Change Management process, ensuring efficient and controlled deployment of changes.

Stakeholder Communication: Deliver comprehensive status updates and effectively communicate project progress and operational metrics to team members and stakeholders at all levels.

CI/CD Development: Architect and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to enhance application deployment and release management processes.

Automated Provisioning: Lead the automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, ensuring consistency and efficiency in deployment.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement and manage robust monitoring and troubleshooting solutions to proactively identify and resolve system and application issues, maintaining high availability and optimal performance.

Security Compliance: Perform regular security audits and assessments of systems and underlying infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and enforce best practices for security governance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and refine software development and deployment processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, SRE, and cloud environments, and apply this knowledge to enhance the team's capabilities.
Qualifications:

Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in AWS cloud computing

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

AWS Expertise: In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and Cloud Formation.

CI/CD Mastery: Proven track record in architecting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, focusing on scalability and robustness.

Source Code Management: Advanced understanding of GitHub workflows, including branching strategies, pull requests, and collaboration techniques.

Infrastructure as Code: Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform and Helm for infrastructure provisioning and management.

Scripting Proficiency: Strong scripting skills in languages such as Node.js or Python, with a focus on automation.

Containerization Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) is highly desirable.

Networking Acumen: Solid understanding of networking concepts, including load balancing and security best practices in cloud environments.

Monitoring Tools: Proficient with monitoring tools such as Cloud Watch, Prometheus, or the Loki Stack, capable of setting up comprehensive observability solutions.

Advanced Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a strong emphasis on proactive problem resolution.

Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
