We are seeking an experienced Workday Integrations Specialist to manage and oversee our Workday integrations, including Workday Studio, third-party payroll PECI (Payroll Effective Change Interface), and Cloud Connect for Benefits. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable integrations to ensure seamless communication between Workday and various third-party systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Workday and deep technical knowledge of Workday integrations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of Workday integrations using Workday Studio, Workday Orchestrate, PECI, and Cloud Connect for Benefits.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to understand integration needs and ensure successful implementation and maintenance of Workday integrations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Workday integrations and ensure ongoing data accuracy and system functionality.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday integrations, providing technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain documentation for integration processes, configurations, and best practices.
Ensure integrations are designed and implemented in compliance with Workday and organisational security standards.
Work closely with the HR, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate and efficient data flow between Workday and third-party systems.
Stay updated on new Workday integration features and functionality and provide recommendations to improve integration efficiency.
Mentor and guide team members as needed.
Leverage Agile framework principles and follow project methodologies.
Understand and ensure data security, privacy and data quality in integrations is maintained.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant technical field (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, or related technical discipline) or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
6 to 8 years of experience, with 3 to 5 years focused on Workday integration development.
Ability to collaborate with business and technology teams to create practical, robust and scalable solutions meeting the business and technology goals.
Workday PRO Certification for Integrations is preferred.
Strong experience designing, building, and supporting complex Workday integrations.
Proven ability to troubleshoot integration issues and perform root cause analysis.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with Workday HCM and other HR technologies is a plus.
Strong understanding of security protocols and compliance requirements for Workday integrations.
Valued Skills:
Strong understanding of payroll, benefits, and HR business processes.
Experience managing integrations with third-party payroll systems and benefits providers.
Experience developing Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Advanced Custom Reports and Document Transforms) is mandatory.
Experience in building integrations using Workday Web services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards).
Experience working in XML, XSLT, Workday Custom Reports and Workday Custom Objects.
