Sr Windows Engineer 12A – Azure Architect

Job description
Azure & Server Technical Expertise (Design and Management):
- Deep understanding of Azure cloud platform, including IaaS (Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, Management), PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
- Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and related technologies including DNS, DHCP HA, DFS, Windows Failover Cluster and WSUS.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers (including updates, patches, and service packs)
- Manage Active Directory, including creating and managing accounts, permissions, and group policies.
- Designing and implementing Azure and Windows infrastructure solutions that align with business requirements and best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and tools.
Azure & System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor system performance using tools like Windows Event Viewer and Performance Monitor.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of Azure cloud services with a focus on diversity and inclusion, ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of business.
- Monitor server health, performance, and availability, and take proactive measures to prevent issues.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Azure and Windows environments.
Backup and Recovery:
- Implement and manage VM, data backup solutions and disaster recovery plan using native solution and Azure backup solutions.
- BCP Solutions using Azure Site Recovery
- Conduct routine system backups and test restore procedures.
Security Administration:
- Experience with Azure Update Manager, WSUS
- Experience on Cisco Duo
- Apply security patches and updates to Windows servers and applications.
- Implementing and maintaining robust security measures to protect Azure and Windows infrastructure.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Documentation:
- Document system configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Maintain inventory records of hardware and software assets.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, utilizing clear and inclusive language, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and standard operating procedures.
Automation and Scripting:
- Use PowerShell or other scripting tools to automate routine administrative tasks.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools (e.g., BiCep, ARM templates)
Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with other IT team members to support cross-functional projects.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end users for Windows-related issues.
Value added skill set: Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines)
