Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Sr. Web & Mobile Developer & DevOps to support KPS and our government customer. The position remote. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, commuter benefits and tuition reimbursement.

This technical role requires a unique hybrid skill set that bridges the gap between responsive application delivery and modern cloud automation. We are looking for a veteran full-stack developer who can build seamless web and mobile-responsive experiences, while simultaneously managing the automated pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment strategies required to run them. This individual will establish DevOps practices to push application builds smoothly through Azure environments into production.

This position will be part of a team supporting a federal client with a business and IT modernization project.

Key Responsibilities:

Web & Mobile Development:

  • Build and optimize modern web applications and mobile-responsive front-ends using technologies compatible with the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Extend low-code environments (Power Apps / Power Platform) by building customized cross-platform mobile experiences and integration points.
  • Develop and consume secure RESTful APIs to connect user-facing web/mobile tiers with backend cloud data sources and AI models.

DevOps Engineering & Automation:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate testing, building, and deployment across multiple environments.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (e.g., Azure Resource Manager, Bicep, or Terraform) to provision and manage cloud infrastructure deterministically.
  • Establish automated container management and deployment strategies using tools like Docker and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) or Azure App Services where applicable.

Monitoring, Security & Compliance:

  • Configure and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting dashboards using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
  • Enforce DevSecOps principles by embedding automated vulnerability, dependency, and static code analysis scanning into active build pipelines.
  • Ensure deployment architecture satisfies federal security mandates and FedRAMP compliance frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

  •  Minimum of 8–10 years in full-stack software or web development, with at least 3–4 years heavily focused on DevOps engineering and automated cloud deployments.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

DevOps Ecosystem:

  • Mastery of Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts), Git branching strategies, and CI/CD automation practices.

Web/Mobile Stack:

  •  Strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS, and responsive web/mobile framework development.

Cloud & Infrastructure:

  • Hands-on experience scripting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and deploying enterprise systems on Microsoft Azure.

Integration Expertise:

  •  Proven experience configuring application hosting environments, managing SSL/TLS certificates, routing, and identity management (Azure AD/Entra ID).

Security Requirement:

  • Ability to clear a federal background investigation to obtain a DOI Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience deploying hybrid cross-platform mobile apps or progressive web apps (PWAs).
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Developer Associate).
  • Familiarity with federal automated configuration management and compliance validation frameworks.
