Job Summary
This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our brand. You will work closely with the Senior Manager of Visual Design and other cross-functional teams to develop engaging and impactful visual experiences that resonate with our target audiences.
What you will do
- Narrative Storytelling: Develop compelling visual narratives that communicate complex technical information in a clear, motivational, and engaging manner.
- Visual Design: Ability to conceptualize and create stunning print and digital branded communications, including illustrations, infographics, animations, presentations, and interactive experiences that align with business goals.
- Brand Identity: Contribute to the evolution of our brand identity by developing consistent visual language across all touchpoints.
- Design Systems: Develop templates and tools to help maintain a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to translate business objectives into compelling visual designs.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior colleagues and design contractors, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
Travel/Physical Demands
- Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
Qualifications
Must have:
- Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.
- Design Expertise: Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and Sketch.
- Narrative Skills: A keen eye for storytelling and the ability to translate complex concepts into visually engaging narratives.
- Technical Proficiency: Understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and user experience best practices.
- Communication: Ability to present and justify designs that align with industry standards and previous campaign data
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Time Management: Works independently and can complete projects on time with minimal direction.
- Strong understanding of industry practices
- High proficiency with tools, systems, and procedure
- Good planning/organizational skills and techniques
- Good decision making, analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good presentation and public speaking skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good conflict resolution skills and ability to deliver difficult messages
- Ability to build partnerships at all levels within the company, begin to build partnerships externally
- Resolve complex issues in effective ways
Nice to have:
- Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience designing for audiences in the medical technology industry preferred but not required.
The posted range for this position is $72,000-$90,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a target bonus not reflected in the posted range.
