What does a great Technical Writer do at Fiserv?

As a Technical Writer at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining high-quality documentation for our products. You will work closely with internal teams to understand product requirements, produce clear and concise documentation, analyze content for opportunities to improve efficiency, and ensure a well-organized information architecture. Your attention to detail and ability to simplify complex technical concepts will be essential in delivering effective content to our audiences.

What you will do:

• Work with internal teams to understand product and documentation requirements thoroughly
• Produce top-notch documentation that meets standards and targets the intended audiences effectively
• Analyze existing and potential content to identify opportunities for reuse and single-sourcing
• Create and maintain a well-structured information architecture

What you will need to have:

• Minimum of 5 years of Technical Writer experience, specifically in software documentation
• Proficiency in writing clear and accurate content in U.S. English
• Quick comprehension of technical concepts to translate them into easily understandable text and graphics
• Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, SnagIt, and other documentation tools
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and translate directives into deliverables
• Basic knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, Professional Writing, English, Journalism, or Computer Science; or equivalent experience

What would be great to have:

• Over 10 years of technical writing experience
• Background in the financial services or banking industry

Salary Range

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
