Summary:
The Senior Tax Associate is an opportunity for a highly motivated tax professional to play an integral role within the corporate tax function to support income tax compliance, assist with tax provisions, and contribute to tax planning and strategy initiatives.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provisions (ASC 740) preparation and reporting
- Support the tax team in responding to IRS and state tax audits, notices, and other tax authority inquiries
- Prepare quarterly estimated tax payment calculations
- Gather data and prepare detailed workpapers to support corporate federal, state, and local income tax returns
- Research complex tax issues and prepare technical memoranda to support tax positions
- Monitor and analyze new tax legislation and assess potential impact on company
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements within the tax department
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and support business initiatives
- Other duties as required and assigned to contribute to the needs of the tax department as a whole.
Reporting Relationships:
- Reports immediately to Director of Global Tax, but needs to be able to work independently or with limited supervision
- Significant direct contact with external tax consultants
- Potential contact with representatives of various jurisdictional revenue agencies
- Regular contact with tax staff, co-workers, and management.
Requirements:
- BS in accounting
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant corporate tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
- Must be skilled in Excel and other common office software, as well as tax research and return preparation software
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Tax
- CPA
- Experience with SAP, OneStream, and OneSource Tax Provision
Compensation:
Compensation Range: $90,000-$100,000
Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
