Job Description

Architect and sustain REST APIs and front-end UI components for robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant web applications.

Design and implement new features, enhancements, and modifications to existing software, strictly adhering to design specifications, security protocols, and best practices.

Navigate all phases of the software development lifecycle, delivering high-quality software independently.

Elevate coding standards, actively participate in code reviews, and refactor code as necessary.

Collaborate with test engineers and operations teams to diagnose and resolve issues through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Proactively communicate project status, issues, and risks in a clear and timely manner.

Create and maintain technical documentation.

Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring the prompt delivery of high-caliber code.

Stay abreast of corporate training and continuously expand your knowledge of new technologies and processes.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
* 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
* Full stack development experience with REST APIs, JSON, and Microservices.
* Proficient in back-end technologies: Java (Spring, Spring Boot), Python or Golang.
* Rich front-end development experience with Angular/React JS, Node.JS.
* Solid understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, and computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms).
* Hands-on experience with NoSQL and SQL databases. Proficient in writing and understanding simple and complex SQL.
* Familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle, including version control, build processes, testing, and code release.
* AI and generative AI skills are highly desirable.
* Strong Agile development experience, including CI/CD with Git, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, and Sonar.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
* Team-oriented, curious, creative, and a quick learner.
* Minimum of 3 years of software development experience.
* Experience with Unix/Linux environments and Agile methodologies like Scrum
* Payment processing background is a plus.
