The anticpated pay range for this position is $90,000.00, plus annual incentive bonus of up to 10%. Actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location. For internal teammates, a compensation percentage increase will be reviewed and determined in partnership with HR, taking into consideration internal equity and relevant experience.

Job Summary

The Senior Operations Supervisor plays a critical leadership role within the Distribution Center (DC), overseeing key operational functions including receiving, warehousing, shipping, inventory  accuracy, and customer quality. While this role does not include exempt direct reports, it carries significant responsibility for leading cross-functional initiatives, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring operational excellence. The Senior Operations Supervisor serves as the acting leader of the DC in the absence of the Operations Manager, ensuring seamless execution of  daily operations and strategic priorities.            

       
Core Responisibilities

Leadership

  • Lead and manage daily operations and team members cross one or more key functional areas such as Inbound, Outbound, Inventory Control, Bulk, or Lum within a fast-paced Distribution Center (DC) environment.

  • Acts as the primary point of contact and decision-maker in the absence of the Operations Manager, ensuring continuity of leadership and operational performance.

  • Provides strategic coordination and oversight of daily DC operations across multiple functional areas to ensure alignment with service, quality, and cost objectives.

  • Drive and lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving customer satisfaction.

  • Support, mentor, and motivate your salaried and hourly workforce.

  • Travel to other sites to support operational needs, when required.     

  • Closely collaborate with leaders and team members to identify, analyze, and resolve operational bottlenecks.

  • Partners with internal stakeholders including Transportation, Account Management, CEC, and Corporate Operations to support business goals and customer requirements.

  • Manages schedules (other supervisors and support functions) and other administrative duties for the DC – pertaining to ADMIN, WHS, OCCUPANCY, TRANSPORTATION buckets.

  • Manages supplies – necessary/critical to the operation.

  • Leads projects and provides continuous improvement through Kaizens, Lean (Six Sigma concepts), and other tools.

  • Leads and participates in presentations, meetings, and project reports.

  • Manages teammate time, attendance, and schedules (work shift, vacation) for assigned functional area(s).

  • Provides proactive performance feedback to teammates within assigned functions, assisting teammates, providing coaching and corrective action where needed.

  • Oversees assigned functions’ training, ensuring teammates receive appropriate training for their assigned job functions. Make succession planning recommendations, assisting in identifying, attracting, developing, coaching, and retaining talent.

  • Recommends expenses and capital investments for assigned functions.

  • Works with Operations leadership to execute initiatives to improve DC metrics that drive financial performance.

  • Monitors and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, and inventory accuracy; drives initiatives to achieve and exceed performance.

  • Supports and implements the conversion of new customers at the DC to ensure successful implementation of new business.

  • Support the monitoring and reporting of assigned functions' performance, assisting with implementing root cause analysis to consistently work towards improving teammate relations, customer quality, and operational efficiency.

  • Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements regarding scheduled drugs, hazardous material dating merchandise, storage requirements and reporting agencies (DOL, DEA, FDA, OSHA, ETC.).

  • Act as Designated Representative (DR) for the DC where required by licensing and compliance laws/regulations.Tools/Equipment.

  • Proficient using RF/Voice Pick/Visual Pick technology to perform tasks.

  • Proficient using use motorized Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.

  • Can perform all the functions of a Distribution Teammate - Equipment operator at a high level of efficiency and accuracy.•  Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.

  • Performs additional duties are directed.

Qualifying Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 3 or more years of professional supply chain or warehouse operations experience exhibiting leadership capability, preferably within the healthcare/medical/medical device industry or any combination of relevant education and experience to meet the above

  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a strong plus.

  • Experience leading or supporting cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.

  • Proven track record in identifying operational issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to drive performance improvements.

  • Knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, distribution & warehouse management best practices.

  • Ability to work fast and effectively within a matrix environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership potential and people management skills with an ability to lead, coach and mentor all levels of teammates.
