This position is based in Lake Orion, Michigan, supporting dedicated transportation operations for General Motors. We are seeking a highly organized and relationship-focused Supervisor Liaison to serve as the bridge between operations leadership, drivers, customers, and support teams. This role is responsible for ensuring clear communication, resolving operational issues, supporting workforce engagement, and helping maintain smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between drivers, operations leadership, and customer representatives
  • Support daily communication regarding route changes, customer requirements, staffing needs, and operational updates
  • Assist with driver onboarding, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Follow up on attendance, scheduling concerns, and workforce-related issues
  • Investigate and help resolve operational, service, and customer-related concerns
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and operational documentation
  • Support employee coaching, recognition, and performance discussions as directed by leadership
  • Assist with recruiting efforts, candidate interviews, and onboarding activities when needed
  • Ensure timely communication of company policies, safety initiatives, and operational expectations
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to promote a positive work environment and strong team culture
  • Coordinate with HR, Safety, Maintenance, and Operations teams to address employee and operational concerns
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on employee retention, communication, and operational efficiency
  • Assist leadership with special projects, reporting, and customer requests as needed
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in transportation, logistics, operations, customer service, HR, recruiting, or supervisory roles preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relationships with employees, customers, and leadership teams
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Previous leadership or employee relations experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
