Maxar is looking for a Sr Software Engineer to assist in our Presidion 3D Registration (P3DR) software development in Orlando, FL.
Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to apply for and hold a US Government Secret National Security Clearance
• Science fundamentals, i.e.:
  
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware architectures
  • Solid understanding of operating systems concepts
  • Knowledge of complex data structures
  • Experience with complicated algorithm development and implementation
  • Familiar with memory management and memory layout
  • Skilled in process concurrency - processes/threads, synchronization, etc.
• Active C++ knowledge, i.e. "I tried it a long time ago in School" doesn't cut it
  
  • Familiar with modern C++, e.i. at least C++17
  • Familiar with STL
• Mathematics
  
  • Solid understanding of linear algebra
  • Working knowledge of statistics
• Preferred qualifications:
• Fresh 3D graphics programming skills, e.g. visualization and game development, experience with Vulkan
• Recent experience with Python
• Computer Vision and Remote Sensing knowledge
• Understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Familiar with aerial navigation systems
• Usage of Git/GitLab
• Test Automation
• Experience with Linux operating system
• Embedded systems
  
  • Porting software to different Linux systems
  • Working with constraint memory and resources

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Washington:
$107,000.00 - $229,000.00 annually.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
