Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior SQL Developer/Data Engineer to join our expanding data team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong SQL development expertise, hands-on experience with AWS data services, and proficiency in Power BI. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational reporting across the organization of this customer.
You will collaborate daily basis with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, build scalable pipelines, and deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures to support business and application requirements;
  
• Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration across multiple systems;
  
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver efficient, scalable solutions;
  
• Leverage AWS services (e.g., Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda) to build cloud-native data workflows;
  
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making;
  
• Monitor and improve database performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis;
  
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all data assets.

Essential Skills

• Experience in SQL development and data engineering roles;
  
• Expert-level proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures;
  
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, and indexing;
  
• Hands-on experience with major RDBMS platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle;
  
• Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Talend, or custom scripting;
  
• Proficiency in AWS data services (e.g., Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda).
  

Highly Desirable Skills

• Experience with Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development;
  
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas);
  
• Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation;
  
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git);
  
• Exposure to data governance, data cataloging, and metadata management tools.
