The Automation team builds and supports an automation platform that allows the team to exercise the product capabilities and ensure all the features are functional at all times.
The automation and test team is responsible for ensuring software quality by creating automated tests and validating that applications work correctly. We write scripts and use testing tools to automatically check software functionality, performance, and reliability without manual intervention. This includes developing test frameworks, running regression tests, and identifying bugs before software reaches end users.
The team also designs test strategies, maintains testing infrastructure, and integrates automated tests into the software development pipeline. We work closely with developers to catch issues early, reduce manual testing time, and ensure consistent quality across software releases. Their automation efforts help teams deploy faster while maintaining high standards of reliability and performance.
Job Description
We are seeking self-motivated, enthusiastic Automation and Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites. You will create automated tests for cloud services, and API applications, execute test plans, and identify software defects. Key responsibilities include writing test scripts using the playwright framework, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with development teams to ensure quality standards.
What you'll do
Build and Maintain our automation and test platform.
Code and build sophisticated tests for front end and backend services.
Found and report software bugs and work with developers to resolve them
Interact cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Product, and QA teams.
Basic Requirements
5+ years of experience developing automation tests for highly scalable and available systems.
Experience writing tests with an automation framework like playwright, cypress, selenium or robot
Proficiency in a scripting language like typescript, javascript or python
Experience writing UI test automation
Experience writing API test automation
Understanding of CI/CD and use of github actions is a plux
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an Agile environment are essential.
Experience with cloud platforms, performance testing, and database testing is a plus.
Familiarity with Cloud platforms, Azure preferred (AWS or GCP are also welcome).
API design & implementation experience.
Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
Advanced English - be able to communicate effectively in English (read, write and speak)
Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging Generative AI assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to significantly accelerate development cycles, from initial code generation to complex refactoring.
BS degree in Computer Science or other relevant field(s)
