This position is a remote position required to reside in the surrounding New York City area to support business needs as determined by SHI management.
Role Description
• Partner with account teams to lead technical discovery and assess customer environments, identifying infrastructure needs and transformation opportunities.
• Design, present, and refine tailored infrastructure solutions that align with customer business goals, technical requirements, and financial considerations.
• Own the technical pre-sales lifecycle for assigned opportunities, including solution design, validation, and customer presentations.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with OEMs and technology partners, leveraging their capabilities to enhance solution offerings.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, engaging with IT leadership (e.g., Directors, VPs, CIOs) to provide guidance on technology strategy and modernization.
• Lead technical enablement and training initiatives for sales teams, enhancing overall technical selling capability.
• Drive pipeline growth by identifying, qualifying, and advancing solution opportunities in collaboration with account teams.
• Develop and deliver compelling solution presentations, demos, and technical workshops for customers and prospects.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Solutions Engineers, supporting their development and knowledge growth.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with services, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility and successful handoff.

• Advanced knowledge of technologies such as hypervisors, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and software-defined data center (SDDC).
• Proven ability to design and position solutions across Data Center, Cloud (AWS/Azure), Networking, and Security domains.
• Experience with enterprise technologies such as Dell, HPE, Cisco, NetApp, Pure Storage, VMware, Nutanix, Veeam, and public cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability architectures.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions.
• Experience supporting pre-sales environments, including solution demos, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical validations.
Other Requirements
• Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events
• Advanced certification in one or more of the following mainstream technologies preferred:

The base salary range for this position is $168,000 - $245,000. The estimated on-target earnings, or OTE, which includes a base salary and bonus, are $240,000 - $350,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
