Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Senior Solutions Analyst to join our Software Portfolio and Product organization, with a primary focus on supporting retail customers and opportunities throughout Latin America.

The Senior Solutions Analyst will help retailers navigate the complex journey from their existing retail technology landscape to Toshiba’s ELERA Commerce Platform and broader solution portfolio. This role will work directly with retailers to understand their current business operations, technology ecosystem, strategic priorities, and transformation objectives and develop pragmatic recommendations for how Toshiba can help them move forward.

This is a highly customer-facing and cross-functional role. The Senior Solutions Analyst will regularly collaborate with retailers, Sales, Product and Portfolio Management, Engineering, Professional Services, Business Analysts, business partners, solution providers, and systems integrators. The individual will be expected to independently lead customer conversations and discovery activities, formulate and defend recommendations, and then engage the appropriate domain experts to validate, refine, and ultimately execute the proposed solution.

This role will primarily support Toshiba’s business and customers throughout Latin America but may also support strategic customer engagements and initiatives in the United States and other markets as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer-facing discovery sessions, workshops, and strategic discussions to understand a retailer’s current business operations, technology landscape, challenges, priorities, and transformation objectives.
  • Assess complex retail environments encompassing Point of Sale (POS), payments, integrations, data flows, infrastructure, peripherals, cloud technologies, third-party applications, business processes, and other components of the retailer’s solution ecosystem.
  • Develop initial current-state and future-state solution assessments that provide a comprehensive view of the retailer’s existing landscape, major gaps, dependencies, opportunities, and potential paths toward Toshiba solutions.
  • Formulate and present clear, prescriptive recommendations for retailer transformation, balancing immediate business value with the retailer’s longer-term strategic objectives.
  • Identify pragmatic, incremental adoption strategies that deliver quick wins and early return on investment while establishing a foundation for broader transformation, avoiding unnecessary cost, complexity, and disruption associated with an all-at-once approach.
  • Evaluate alternative solution approaches based on business value, implementation effort, complexity, risk, dependencies, cost magnitude, time-to-value, and expected return on investment.
  • Translate complex business and technical considerations into recommendations that can be understood by retailer executives, business stakeholders, technical teams, Sales, and internal Toshiba organizations.
  • Support pre-sales activities, customer pursuits, solution positioning, and strategic account discussions by helping customers understand how Toshiba capabilities can address their business objectives.
  • Develop initial solution and transformation blueprints and then engage Product, Engineering, Architecture, Professional Services, Business Analysts, and other subject matter experts to validate assumptions and mature recommendations into executable plans.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of the ELERA Commerce Platform and Toshiba’s broader retail solution portfolio after joining the organization, leveraging existing retail technology expertise to rapidly become an effective solution advisor.
  • Incorporate AI into regular working practices for research, analysis, synthesis, solution exploration, documentation, content creation, and reporting. Actively explore questions, test assumptions, alternatives, and challenge generated conclusions before incorporating AI-generated information into recommendations.
  • Travel up to 25% to support customer engagements, workshops, strategic pursuits, partner activities, and other business needs.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in retail technology, retail software, solution consulting, business analysis, product management, professional services, solution strategy, systems integration, or a related discipline.
  • Significant hands-on experience working with retail Point of Sale (POS) software platforms and associated retail technologies.
  • Experience working with retailers in Latin America and an understanding of the operational and technology considerations associated with the region.
  • Professional fluency in Spanish and English, including the ability to lead customer workshops, deliver presentations, facilitate complex discussions, and communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead customer-facing discovery sessions, workshops, and solution discussions.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and the role technology plays across the store and broader retail enterprise.
  • Broad technical literacy across areas such as system integrations, APIs, payments, data flows, infrastructure, cloud technologies, POS peripherals, enterprise applications, and related retail technology domains.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize incomplete or complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of business value and commercial considerations, including the ability to distinguish relative cost and effort, evaluate implementation tradeoffs, and discuss immediate, delayed, and recurring return on investment.
  • Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and trusted-advisor relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-driven and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy. Strong sense of ownership and accountability for the quality of analysis and customer outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability and motivation to incorporate AI into regular professional workflows, particularly for research, analysis, synthesis, exploration, content development, and reporting.
  • Strong judgment when working with AI-generated information, including the ability to question assumptions, validate conclusions, recognize limitations, and combine AI-assisted analysis with human expertise and independent critical thinking.

Preferred Skills

  • Deep experience with retail operations and retail technology environments throughout Latin America.
  • Detailed understanding of regional differences in retail operations, including fiscal and regulatory requirements, taxation, payments, localization, infrastructure, connectivity, labor and operational practices, and other market-specific considerations.
  • Experience working with Latin American retailers, regional business partners, technology providers, solution providers, and systems integrators.
  • Experience supporting large or complex retail transformation and modernization programs.
  • Experience developing current-state assessments, capability maps, fit-gap analyses, solution blueprints, transformations, or similar strategic deliverables.
  • Experience working with global retailers or supporting retail technology programs across multiple countries or regions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
