About this opportunity:
Join our dynamic team at Ericsson as an End-to-End Solution Architect for Packet Core with an industry experience of minimum 20 years. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with analysing, designing, and developing commercially viable technical solutions along with a thorough ownership during Delivery Phase of the solution.
These solutions will be based on customer specifications and business needs. As Solution Architect, you will be responsible for creating both short- and long-term profitable business strategies for Ericsson as well as successful delivery and performance of the solution on ground. This will be accomplished by working closely with the Core 3 team to translate customer needs and technology opportunities into detailed technical offerings, solutions, and proposals.
What you will do:
• Engage in detailed discussions with customers to understand their technology strategy and identify key challenges.• Analyse customer's technology and business environment along with their non-functional requirements.• Identify customer's improvement areas and challenges related to both technology and business.• Collaborate with the Core 3 team to develop a list of potential activities and solutions.• Construct value arguments alongside the Core 3 team.• Develop and present technical presentations to customers.• Take end-to-end technical accountability during Delivery & Deployment Phase ensuring that Solution is delivered as per the proposal.• Analysing the network traffic patterns and subscriber behaviour and ensure that performance of the proposed nodes and solution is as per customer commitment.• Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across 4G, 5G NSA, 5G SA packet core networks. This requires understanding of key nodes e.g. MM, SM, UPF, NRF, SC etc.• Understanding of overall solutions of Virtualized and Containerised architecture including good understanding of Cloud Infrastructure and Fabric Networking.• Perform QoS, parameter and capacity audits, including tuning and optimization actions.• Provide technical governance for upgrades, new features and new node introductions from a performance perspective.• Collaboration with internal teams in various domains e.g. BSS, OSS, Radio, Transport, MPBN etc.
The skills you bring:
• Bachelors degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.• Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across 4G, 5G NSA, 5G SA packet core networks• 20 years of experience in packet core• Understanding of key nodes e.g. MM, SM, UPF, NRF, SC etc• Consultative Skills.• Solution Delivery.• Project Implementation.• Negotiation.• Hardware, Architecture, Virtual Environment, Technology, Protocol and Interface.• Coaching and Mentoring.• Solution Architect.• Financial Acumen.• Customer Solution Design.• Market insights.• Ericsson Portfolio.• Business Acumen.• Knowledge sharing and learning.• Infra Capacity, Perf Analysis and Sol Def.• Technical Sales.• Ability to provide technical leadership and guide engineers in complex situations.• Strong customer communication and stakeholder management skills.• Very good command of the English language
