We are seeking an experienced Lead Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure cloud services, Terraform, and Azure DevOps. As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our Azure infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and cost efficiency. You will be part of a team of cloud engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the adoption of new Azure technologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and maintenance of Terraform modules for Azure deployments.
• Establish and maintain Azure service configuration standards and processes.
• Integrate the latest Azure services to meet the evolving needs of the company.
• Optimize cloud resource usage to reduce expenses while maintaining performance.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Continuously improve the efficiency and performance of Azure cloud services.
• Prepare operations teams for effective customer support and ensure operational excellence.
• Monitor and address health advisories proactively.
Required Technical Skills
• Azure Cloud Services: Extensive experience with Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and security configurations.
• Terraform: Proficiency in writing and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform, including module development and version control.
• Terraform Cloud: Experience with Terraform Cloud for collaboration and automation in infrastructure deployment.
• Azure DevOps: Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline creation, management, and automation.
Additional Skills
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Mastery of IaC principles and practices, particularly with Terraform.
• Configuration Management: Ability to establish and maintain Azure service configuration standards and processes across the organization.
• Cost Optimization: Skills in monitoring and optimizing cloud resource usage to reduce expenses while maintaining performance.
• Cloud Security: Expertise in implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Risk Management: Experience in identifying and mitigating risks associated with cloud services.
• Performance Tuning: Ability to continuously improve the efficiency and performance of Azure cloud services.
• Operational Readiness: Experience in preparing operations teams for effective customer support and ensuring operational excellence.
• Health Advisory Management: Skills in monitoring and addressing health advisories proactively.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team of cloud engineers, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills to work with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, security, and performance experts.
• Innovation & Agility: Ability to rapidly adopt and optimize new Azure technologies to drive innovation and agility.
• Standardization & Ownership: Commitment to ensuring consistent configurations and quality modules for scalable, secure, and efficient cloud operations.
• Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation tasks.
• Monitoring & Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and implementation in a cloud environment.
