With 40+ years of experience in the Insurtech game, we're not just redefining what's achievable, we're creating a place where amazing career moments are made possible.
Position Overview
We're searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team in Bengaluru location. This role is purpose-built around an AI-first engineering mindset - you will leverage AI tools and AI SDLC best practices across the entire product development lifecycle to accelerate delivery, elevate code quality, and drive innovation. You'll be a full-stack engineer at heart, writing production-grade code in .NET and React while championing a quality-first development culture. This role bridges product engineering and quality engineering - you'll build features and own their quality end-to-end. To keep us headed in the right direction, we're looking for people who understand winning is a team sport, who value and seek to learn from our team's diverse experiences and backgrounds, who welcome a challenge and take risks in the pursuit of creating better outcomes for our customers, and who can, at any given time, step back to laugh and have some fun.
Required Skills:
- Education: BE, B. Tech, M. Tech, MCA, MSc or equivalent
- Experience Level: 5+ Years of hands-on software engineering experience
Mandatory Skills (Full-Stack + Quality & Product Engineering)
- Strong proficiency in .NET framework (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core) for backend development.
- Proficiency with ReactJS and related ecosystem (Redux, React Router, hooks, context API).
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Proficiency with microservice architecture, event-driven programming, and async design patterns.
- Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Solid experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrated quality-first mindset: experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and automated test suites as part of the development workflow. Ability to own quality end-to-end, not just hand off to QA.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and embedding automated quality gates (linting, static analysis, test coverage thresholds).
- Strong understanding of quality management principles - defect prevention, root cause analysis, test planning, and quality metrics tracking across the product engineering lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with quality engineering practices: test automation frameworks, performance/load testing, API contract testing, and shift-left testing strategies to catch defects early in the SDLC.
- Proven ability to use AI-powered development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, AI code-review/test-generation tools) to accelerate and improve the SDLC.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and research abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong work ethic and ability to deliver solutions within committed timeframes.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core) for backend and ReactJS for frontend development.
- Integrate and champion AI-powered development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, AI code-review assistants, AI test generators) across the SDLC to boost team velocity and code quality.
- Utilize and enforce AI SDLC best practices - from AI-assisted requirements analysis and design through AI-augmented testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Drive a quality-first development culture: author comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; embed automated quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
- Work on all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software solutions on time.
- Architect and build microservice-based, event-driven systems with async design patterns for scale and resilience.
- Ensure code quality by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Conduct and participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for code, architecture decisions, and design patterns.
- Mentor junior engineers on AI tool adoption, testing strategies, and full-stack best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging AI/ML tools, frameworks, and industry trends to continuously improve engineering practices.
You may have other skills, including
Experience with the following technologies a plus
- Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools - Docker & Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, Apigee API management, and Tilt for local development workflows.
- Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog or similar.
- Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks or platforms and their application in software engineering workflows.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code or cloud-native development patterns.
