We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Software Engineer in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Consistently deliver technical solutions in an Agile team, following most standard scrum ceremonies, bi-weekly sprint planning, and daily stand-ups. Participate in software development life cycle activities like design, coding, testing, and production release. Identify areas for improvement and innovation to improve development productivity. Work with Product Managers and other business partners to identify opportunities for improvement. Analyze data based on product requirements and challenge solution requirements when appropriate. Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data. Structure large data sets to find usable information. Build networks of relationships to support dependencies outside of our team. Designing and building large-scale distributed systems to support the end-to-end machine learning (ML) lifecycle. Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements, deliver innovative solutions, and ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of ML Platform. Facilitate seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams from Business and Technology domains to align project goals, gather requirements, and drive successful project outcomes. Partial telecommuting permitted from within commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is: 

Primary Location | Pay Range: 

San Jose, California | Salary: $169,262.00-243,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
