Position Title: Senior Software Engineer

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Summary of Duties: Integrated Decisions and Systems, Inc. - IDeaS seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Bloomington, Minnesota. IDeaS is a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of SAS Institute, Inc. Founded in 1989, IDeaS is the premier provider of enterprise revenue management and optimization solutions.
Design, develop, and debug software of diverse scope for G3 RMS and Elevate RMS, as well as other new or existing products in accordance with designated development practices, timelines and quality expectations. Design and develop high quality, testable and scalable software solutions within established timelines while adhering to R&D best practices and processes. Forecast enhancements to products using timeseries forecasting. Create efficiencies in critical Analytics infrastructure and processes Actively involve other project stakeholders cross-functionally to ensure implementation satisfies functional requirements and is consistent with established R&D standards. Ensure quality through functional, unit and performance testing, provide thorough reviews of the test plan, and communicate when updates to the plan should be made related to enhancements, redesigns and/or bug fixes. Maintain accountability for the entire life cycle of the code including support for both internal and external consumers, author design and technical documentation for clients, and swiftly resolve performance/unavailability issues to ensure availability to clients. Research and develop new ML-based forecasting and profit maximization algorithms. Design, architect, and develop analytics platforms for existing products and new business verticals and strategic initiatives. Oversee the transition of products to Amazon AWS Cloud and optimize the performance and costs. Train, mentor, and onboard new team members and offshore teams in data engineering and analytics support. May work remotely pursuant to company's flexible work program.
Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related quantitative field, plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered five (5) years of experience as an Operations Analyst, or related occupation.
Requires experience with software development and programming. Requires advanced experience with Java and Python. Requires strong analytics domain understanding. Requires solid programming skills in SAS. May work remotely pursuant to company's flexible work program.
