Social Finance, LLC seeks Sr. Software Engineer in New York, NY:

Job Duties: Work on all engineering deliverables related to money movement for SoFi
Banking. Ensure SoFi Banking money movement platform remains robust and resilient
to temporary outages and to support exponential organic customer growth. Support
internal teams through creation of tools and applications so that auditing &
troubleshooting becomes quicker and easier. Lead the development and testing of
system components/services, code and design reviews. Manage projects and
deliverables, and design, deploy and improve database solutions. Take initiative and
produce timely results in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the product. Ensure that our
codebase remains easy to change and is always shippable. Understand the
complexities of the legacy system and plan for remediation of tech debt. Help translate
epics and user stories into technical solutions. Deliver highly available and scalable
services in a production environment. Mentor other engineers, support the technical
culture, and help grow the team. Communicate with project leads, product managers
and other software developers. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Sofi offices
may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer
Science, Computational Analysis and Public Policy, Engineering (any field), or a related
quantitative discipline, and six (6) months of experience in the job offered or in any
occupation in related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Python (Primary Language), (2) C++, (3) Swift, (4)
Kotlin, (5) machine learning (six months), (6) data visualization, (7) object oriented
programming, (8) AWS, (9) Git, (10) MongoDB. Any suitable combination of education,
training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to
Sofi offices may be required. Special Skills can be gained through academic
coursework, scholastic achievement, or professional experience.

Salary: $179,657.00 - $206,605.00 per annum.
