About the Role
We are forming an AI Enablement Engineering Team—focused on integrating foundational AI capabilities (such as document extraction and LLM-based chatbot services) into our core products.
This team will work closely with product domain engineering teams and foundational AI teams to deliver end-to-end product features—like claims extraction built on our document intelligence service.
As a Software Engineer in this team, you'll be expected to apply strong software engineering practices, leverage AI services, and work across integration points to bring intelligent automation into production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and embed AI-driven features into production-grade healthcare products.
- Build APIs, services, and integration layers connecting AI capabilities with product workflows.
- Work with foundational AI teams to utilize reusable services (e.g., OpenAI-based extractors, chat services).
- Implement reliable, maintainable software using C#.NET, JavaScript, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Architects, and Data Scientists.
- Follow engineering best practices in code quality, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Participate in agile development sprints and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience as a software engineer in enterprise or SaaS environments.
- Strong development skills in C#.NET and JavaScript (React or Angular preferred).
- Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful and SOAP-based APIs.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and concepts (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, service orchestration).
- Experience integrating with or building backend services and working with data APIs or pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and CI/CD processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience integrating AI services (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.) into real-world applications.
- Knowledge of document extraction, chatbots, or natural language processing workflows.
- Background in healthcare IT (e.g., claims processing, EDI standards like HL7 or FHIR) is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across global teams.
