Job DescriptionOverview
We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer is part of Mattel’s Global Technology Organization (GTO), serving as a primary specialist and system administrator for the Airtable platform. This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing Airtable solutions that support workflow automation, operational reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and enterprise data governance. The analyst will translate complex business requirements into scalable Airtable configurations, ensuring platform reliability, intuitive user experiences, and alignment with global process standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary administrator and configuration specialist for Airtable, overseeing structure, reliability, and platform governance.
• Design and maintain Airtable bases, data models, interfaces, views, forms, scripts, and automations.
• Build reusable templates, standardized schemas, and cross-functional design patterns to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Manage role-based access control, user provisioning, workspace permissions, and data security configurations.
• Ensure Airtable environments remain optimized through cleanup routines, performance tuning, and best-practice governance standards.
• Analyze operational workflows and translate them into structured Airtable solutions, including automations, field logic, scripts, and integrations.
• Build automated workflows using Airtable Automations, Scripting, and third-party connectors.
• Support integration of Airtable with other systems using the Airtable API, middleware tools (e.g., Make, Workato, Zapier), or custom scripts.
• Partner with engineering and data teams to establish secure and reliable data flows into and out of Airtable.
• Validate data quality, reconciliation, and transformation logic across integrated systems.
• Develop dashboards, interfaces, and reporting structures directly in Airtable to support productivity, operational metrics, and decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Create user documentation, training guides, onboarding materials, and internal governance playbooks for Airtable use.
• Provide training sessions, office hours, and consultative guidance to improve adoption and platform proficiency across teams.
Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 6–9 years of experience configuring or administering Airtable or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
• Deep hands-on experience designing Airtable bases, interfaces, automations, schemas, scripts, and governance models.
• Strong understanding of workflow design, process mapping, and operational optimization.
• Experience with API usage, scripting, or integration platforms (Make, Workato, Zapier, or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate requirements into scalable system configurations.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience administering multi-workspace Airtable environments at enterprise scale.
• Familiarity with Airtable Enterprise features (SSO, admin panel, audit logs, and enterprise governance).
