About This Job
Axos Clearing is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to ensure the quality of our financial services products, including equity and mutual fund trading, account management, and document generation. This role is critical in driving test automation within our microservices-focused architecture, contributing to our large-scale system's reliability and integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in quality assurance, be skilled in developing automated tests, and have a proactive approach to collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Verify product documentation to ensure alignment with actual product functionality.
- Monitor and ensure quality activities align with established control procedures.
- Compile, analyze, and share performance reports and process metrics.
- Document and maintain defect logs, reporting issues in the tracking system.
- Execute test cases based on the test plan, documenting results and tracking progress.
- Actively participate in test case reviews and collaborate on improvements.
- Assist in preparing test data to support accurate and efficient test execution.
- Develop and implement automated tests within the existing test framework and infrastructure.
- Review and understand user stories to ensure alignment with Axos Bank's core functionality and requirements.
- Write and update test cases to align with evolving product needs.
- Interpret and apply business rules and logic to ensure software quality, consistency, and repeatability.
- Collaborate closely with Project, Product, Development, and Production Support teams to meet deliverables and maintain high standards of quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years in Quality Assurance, with hands-on experience in test automation.
- Certification in software testing or quality assurance (ISTQB or equivalent preferred).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Financial services industry experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with programming languages such as C# / .NET Core, GO, and SQL.
