Sr. Software Development Engineer wanted by American Express Global Business Travel, Egencia in Bellevue, WA. Responsible for designing, implementing, and debugging software for our internal systems and applications, including algorithms and data structures; Analyzing requirements and working with product management and stakeholders to finalize the project plans; Designing, implementing and supporting software improvements and new products; Reviewing, testing and debugging team members' code while ensuring adherence to defined software engineering processes; Providing leadership and guidance for junior software developers to accomplish all team goals and objectives; Anticipating and preventing problems and roadblocks, and presenting technical issues and their impact to management; and Driving the design of creative, tractable ways to improve coding standards across the team and the broader organization.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field plus five (5) years of experience in any occupation which includes the required experience/skills. Must have five (5) years of experience with a programming or scripting language (any one or a combination of Python, Java or Scala); five (5) years of experience using database technologies (any one or a combination of Oracle, Postgres or Snowflake); five (5) years of experience using AWS technologies (any one or a combination of DynamoDB, CloudWatch, SQS, Lambda, EKS or EC2); five (5) years of experience with Agile methodologies (any one or a combination of Scrum, DevOps or CICD frameworks); five (5) years of experience leading projects; and Five (5) years of experience with the full software lifecycle including maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting production systems. May work from home within commuting distance to office. Salary range: $182,312-$
