We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in delivering high-quality software solutions. This role requires a strong foundation in software development (3+ years hands-on experience) combined with 3+ years of experience as a SAFe Release Train Engineer.
The RTE will serve as a servant leader, coach, and program-level facilitator who ensures alignment, execution, and continuous improvement across multiple agile teams. A deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is essential to effectively guide teams, manage dependencies, and ensure predictable delivery of features and releases.

Your Impact
  • Lead and facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) execution, including PI Planning, ART syncs, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt events
  • Drive alignment across teams to ensure execution adheres to SDLC principles, including design, development, testing, integration, and technical release readiness
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments
  • Partner with Product Management, System Architects, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth flow of features from concept through delivery
  • Enable continuous improvement using metrics such as velocity, flow, predictability, and quality
  • Foster a culture of built-in quality, DevOps adoption, and CI/CD practices
  • Ensure proper implementation of Agile, SAFe, and SDLC governance practices across teams
  • Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and teams on Agile best practices and effective execution
  • Drive transparency through reporting, dashboards, and program-level KPIs
  • Support release planning, execution, and coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of overall experience
  • 3+ years in software development roles (developer, lead, or architect)
  • 3+ years as a SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or similar Agile leadership role
  • Strong and practical understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, development, testing, integration, and release management
  • Proven experience leading large-scale Agile programs using SAFe framework
  • Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, or similar
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management practices
  • Ability to analyze and improve flow metrics, predictability, and delivery performance
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and engineering teams
  • SAFe certifications (RTE) is a plus
  • Experience in enterprise multi-ART environments is a plus
  • Exposure to cloud and microservices is a plus
  • Experience building ART dashboards and KPIs is a plus.
  • This role requires deep understanding of SDLC to ensure seamless flow from feature definition to deployment, alignment across development and QA, early risk identification, and continuous improvement in delivery predictability and quality.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years professional software development experience with strong proficiency in C#
  • Experience with .NET, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web API2, web services, or service-oriented architectures
  • Experience with HTML5, TypeScript, JavaScript, and SQL Server
  • Strong architecture and hands-on development skills for web applications and APIs
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • English fluency (written and verbal)
  • Background in numerical methods and mathematical modeling
  • Experience building software supporting engineering, scientific, or simulation workflows
