Lead Risk & Controls Testing Analyst - Hybrid

In this role, you will report to the Manager of Business Risk & Control and complete control testing according to an annual monitoring plan. Assess if proper controls and oversight are in place as well as being consistently executed, and review that processes and procedures are appropriate. Assist with the creation of formal issues related to their control testing, including collaborating with business owners to create comprehensive remediation plans.
Responsibilities

• Collaborate with lines of business to ensure testing is completed within established deadlines.
• Lead discussions to evaluate business processes and assess risks, determine the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Conduct control testing to provide assurance on the design and operational effectiveness of controls, adapting different testing approaches.
• Prepare and document evidence for control evaluation using standard templates to ensure quality outcomes.
• Identify gaps or areas for enhancement during the control design process to improve effectiveness.
• Apply sound sampling methodologies and testing techniques to execute control evaluations efficiently.
• Provide insights and perspectives through meetings, project support, and data analysis to enhance the impact of the business risk and controls team.
• Demonstrate knowledge of business processes, internal control risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with team members and business partners to maintain an open environment for risk identification, issue resolution, and problem-solving.
• Review, challenge, and substantiate control testing results throughout the evaluation process.
• Manage and escalate risks and customer-impacting issues to management.
• Communicate control testing results, monitoring outcomes, and potential findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Recommend control enhancements to business owners to mitigate risks within their processes.

Education:

• Bachelors Degree - Business, Finance or Related - Preferred

Years of Experience:

• 7 years - Testing, audit, quality control, risk compliance, control or related - Minimum

In Lieu of Education:

• 10 Years - Testing, audit, quality control, risk compliance, control or related

Compensation & Benefits:
Typical hiring range:‏‏‎ ‎$87,100‏‏‎ ‎-‏‏‎ ‎$123,000 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills & knowledge.
