Job Description

The Senior Research Project Associate is part of a collaborative team whose mission is to deliver high-quality custom research. This role supports the Dedicated Solution’s team in the successful execution of research projects from inception to delivery. It requires a research and insights professional who is equally comfortable in a room full of marketing leaders or getting elbow deep in cutting data and drafting research questions to find the underlying cause of a burning client need. As such, the Senior Research Project Associate will come to the table with a strong background in consultative, client-facing market research and consumer insights projects. They will be an adept project manager and lead all steps of online & paper/pencil primary research projects, including survey development, programming, testing, creating banner & tab plans, quality check data, and report writing.

As the Senior Research Project Associate, you will have the following key accountabilities:

  • Manage all aspects of online custom research projects, including project plans/schedules, survey development, survey checking, overseeing fieldwork, data quality checking, and delivery.
  • Management of the occasional paper/pencil research project
  • Work with Sales Team to scope project details, price projects, and put together proposals
  • Sample management & email marketing skills – writing invitation copy and creating HTML invites for surveys
  • Spec out banner & tab plans and work with Data Processing to create client friendly data table deliverables
  • Analyze results and write meaningful succinct key findings reports
  • Work with team lead to maintain revenue and financial tracking

Now that we have introduced you to the position of Senior Research Project Associate, what skills, qualifications, and experience should you have?

  • 3-5 years consumer research experience, experience in media research a plus
  • Proficient in conducting quantitative online primary research
  • Knowledge of paper/pencil research
  • Questionnaire development and implementation experience 
  • Demonstrated organizational, project management and written/verbal skills
  • Ability to deliver results, meet deadlines and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of an organization – both internally and externally
  • Ability to discuss / understand clients’ custom objectives and requirements 
  • Ability to manage simultaneous requests (good organizational skills, multi-tasking ability)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to be flexible and work under deadline 
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint required, working knowledge of SPSS is preferred 
  • Knowledge of Confirmit IT/Forsta, HTML, CSS, and Java desired
  • Knowledge of MEMRI & Catalyst platforms a plus
  • BA or equivalent required
