Job Summary
MPS is looking for an exceptional Reliability Engineer/Sr. Reliability Engineer to join our Quality and Reliability team. This is a key role to ensure our new power module devices for AI Datacenter applications meet the high bar for reliability and quality. You will collaborate closely with internal and external engineering teams for joint-qualification design, Design for Reliability (DFR), Reliability Tests Planning etc. with effective data collection and analysis for reliability validation. This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to the development of our innovative products with profound responsibilities and impacts.
Essential Functions
Joint-Qualification Design. Closely work with Design, Marketing/Customers, Application teams as integral part of Quality Assurance function to develop Reliability strategies and methodologies based on customer requirements and mission-profile analysis.
Experiment-Design. Design experiments to validate design and hardware meet the intended use profile and reliability targets.
Design for Reliability (DFR). Evaluate risks and implement effective mitigation strategies with optimal trade-off analysis.
Joint-Reliability Tests. Co-lead reliability test planning and progress monitoring at both IC level and module level of specific product families.
Failure Analysis Support. For Reliability related failure cases, drive root cause analysis with internal and external teams and ensure corrective actions are validated before release.
Global Database. Refine and maintain Reliability database infrastructure to enable efficient and timely internal external QA communications.
Rel/QA Data Supports. Work as an integral function of Quality Assurance to analyze reliability data using statistical tools such as JMP and Reliasoft and present findings to internal and external teams.
Qualifications
Master's or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years specializing in reliability testing and qualification of IC device and package to AEC/JEDEC standards.
Proficiency in statistical analysis such as JMP/Weibull, and advanced failure analysis tools such as SEM, CSAM, Xray, OBIRCH/TIVA.
Strong understanding of semiconductor device structures and physics especially in SiC and GaN.
Experience in supporting customers.
Experience with AI data center power supply architectures is a plus.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in California is $135,000 - $165,000. The base salary range for this position in Washington is $115,000 - $145,000.
