At Coupa, the “Site Reliability Engineering team” is looking for an engineer who is ready to constantly question the status quo with a mixture of system design, code development, deployment, automation, networking, and more.
As a “Sr. Site Reliability Engineer ”, you will play a crucial role in the development of solutions for our Enterprise platform.You will be developing applications that provide self-service and increased efficiency to a diverse group of internal customers across Cloud Operations, Engineering, Customer Success & Support, and Customer Value Management. When you are successful you will significantly accelerate the ability of our teams to better serve our customers.

What You’ll Do
- Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases and infrastructure upgrades across different environments following established release management processes.
- Monitor release progress, track issues, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain release automation frameworks and tools to streamline and improve the efficiency of the release process.
- Develop and maintain scripts and workflows for automated build, deployment, and configuration management.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the release automation pipeline to reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and increase deployment speed.
- Coordinate release schedules, dependencies, and priorities with stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely deployments. Provide regular status updates, reports, and documentation to stakeholders, management, and project teams
- Evaluate products and technologies in the industry that can be applied to optimize Coupa’s internal processes and workflows, simplify our operations, reduce technical debt, eliminate toil
- Leverage observability and monitoring to make informed decisions

What You Will Bring to Coupa
- 4-6 years of experience in Release Engineer role
- A critical thinker, resourceful, problem-solver who has a passion for applying technology to drive efficiency
- Hands on experience with Cloud/SaaS architecture using AWS/ Azure a must
- Experience with release automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo) and proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate build, deployment, and configuration management processes
- Familiarity with operationalizing a software HA, Autoscaling, DR, Backups, Upgrades
- Hands on experience with CI/CD tools and implementation of pipeline
- Understanding of configuration management principles and experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to manage and track software and infrastructure configurations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
