We are seeking a Senior R&D Process Engineer that will play a key role in advancing our polyiso insulation manufacturing operations. In this senior technical leadership position, you'll lead complex capital projects from concept through commissioning while driving process optimization, manufacturing standardization, and continuous improvement across multiple facilities.
You'll provide engineering expertise in mechanical, electrical, and process systems, supporting equipment upgrades, capacity expansions, commercialization, automation, and reliability initiatives. As a recognized technical leader, you'll establish best practices for foam lamination, chemical metering, materials handling, mixing, and process control while partnering with Operations, R&D, Maintenance, Quality, EH&S, and Supply Chain to deliver innovative manufacturing solutions.
Success in this role requires strong project management skills, the ability to lead cross-functional teams, and a passion for solving complex manufacturing challenges using data-driven decision-making and Lean Six Sigma principles. You'll also mentor engineering talent, develop enterprise engineering standards, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline
- Experienced and demonstrated expertise in pumps, valves, flow meters, switches, heat exchangers and process and instrumentation diagrams
- 10+ years of engineering experience in capital projects, polyiso insulation, chemical processing, or similar manufacturing environments

- BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related technical discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience in polyiso foam lamination, chemical metering, and foam chemistry
- Demonstrated enterprise-level leadership including cross-site process standardization, major capital programs, and capability building
- Extensive experience applying advanced statistical methods, process modeling, and data-driven decision-making
- Recognized subject matter expert in polyiso foam lamination, chemical metering, and foam chemistry
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification
