This position reports directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of IAC as described below:

General Job Duties:

• To display a fair and consistent approach by following the principles of the Value Statement and Mission Statement to help ensure a satisfied workplace for all employees.

• To participate in continuous improvement activities that enhance the working environment at IAC. Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives and activities.

• Demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.

• Follow Company policies and display conduct expected of IAC employees

• Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of IAC to provide for a safe and healthful workplace. Work in a safe manner at all times and report any unsafe conditions in order that the situation can be corrected. Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.

• Maintain proper ergonomics at all times when performing assigned tasks.

• To support the company to meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of IAC.

• Complete LPAs on time; weekly

• Complete Safe Audit on time; weekly

• Maintain proper etiquette when using company radios, PA, emails, text and phones; business use only.

• Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Manager

• Work independently with minimal supervision to manage quality tasks.

• Regularly inspect parts and engage with production teams on the shop floor

• Interface with cross-functional teams to support product launches and continuous improvement.

Specific Job Duties:

• Lead Internal audits in accordance with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 Standards.

• Lead Suppliers audits in accordance with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 Standards.

• Manage and support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and Control Plans

• Coordinate dimensional evaluations

• Perform Root Cause analysis and lead 8D problem-solving.

• Issue and respond to Quality Alert; resolve nonconformities quickly.

• Complete capability study

• Maintain and coordinate Fast Response process

• Audit/document quality systems

• Troubleshoot quality issues with the Operations and Technical department

• Root cause analysis through fast-track response process

• Assist in the development and mentoring of the Quality Engineers

• Support Quality Manager in daily functions as needed

• Utilize GageTrak Pro for calibration tracking and measurement systems.

• Coordinate with customer on quality issues and ensure timely resolution.

• Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements and standards.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor degree with 3-5 years of related experience or 5-7 years related experience in a quality manufacturing environment, automotive preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Good computer including typing and the use of Microsoft products

• Conceptual knowledge of production part approval process (PPAP) and relevant requirements preferred.

• Working knowledge of SPC, capability studies, PFMEA’s, and Control Plans

• Ability to pay attention to detail, multi-task and follow direction

• Successful candidates will also possess strong judgment /decision making skills, problem solving and communication skills.

• Strong analytic problem-solving skills

• Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision

• Certified IATF 16949 Lead Auditor (Mandatory)

• Certified VDA 6.3 Auditor (Mandatory)

• Strong working knowledge of GageTrak Pro.

Training Requirements:

• This position will be required to travel to other facilities or training locations as well as on-site training as needed.

PPE Requirements:

• This position requires the use of eye protection and hearing protection and any PPE specific to the task being performed.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand on feet and/or sit 9-12 hours a day and lift up to 40lbs on an occasional basis and 15 lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to perform overhead work as well as work below the waist.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor degree with 3-5 years related experience or 5-7 years related experience in a quality manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
  • Certified IATF 16949 Lead Auditor.
  • Certified VDA 6.3 Auditor.
  • Strong working knowledge of GageTrak Pro.
  • Working knowledge of SPC, capability studies, PFMEA's, and Control Plans.
  • Experience managing APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and Control Plans.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and lead 8D problem-solving.
  • Good computer skills, including typing and use of Microsoft products.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle competing demands.
