Narvar is growing! We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Bangalore-based engineering team in a hybrid working model. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products across platforms. This role involves designing test strategies, driving automation, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software at scale.
Day-to-day
- Own and drive QA efforts for major product modules end-to-end.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and automated test suites.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and test coverage.
- Implement automation for API, backend services, and UI layers using modern frameworks.
- Proactively identify gaps in test coverage and performance bottlenecks.
- Lead bug triages, root cause analysis, and drive resolution with engineering teams.
- Ensure all releases meet high-quality standards through continuous integration and validation.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and champion quality best practices.
What we are looking for
- 4-7 years of QA experience with strong automation skills and a solid understanding of QA methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
- Proficient in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Java).
- Experience testing APIs and backend services in a microservices architecture.
- Comfortable with tools like Postman, Swagger, REST clients, and SQL for validation.
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and hybrid team collaboration.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Bonus points
- Experience in e-commerce, logistics, or post-purchase platforms.
- Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, ELK, Splunk).
