POSITION SUMMARY
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer with Newrez, you will support the platform quality engineering strategy and provide subject matter expertise and leadership on test case architecture and design. Help us execute on operational frameworks, processes and tools, and utilization of organizational change management practices. We need someone to provide recommendations and contribute to solutions in leading QE workstreams. You will support the implementation of QA Program and overall QA process and standards through optimized test case architecture and automation. This role is a technologist first with passion for software test automation all functions in the CICD pipeline.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement QE test architecture, ensuring right quality and testing coverage within the Portfolio/Platform/Ecosystem
- Responsible in building E2E & Smoke test UI automation, CI/CD integration and developing various test matrix
- Direct various product teams to use new processes/ test automation tools, providing coaching and review regular code check-in
- Solve complex technical problems within and between various technology stacks
- Identify new industry tools/methodologies that enable automation efficiencies and address applications automation challenges
- Partner with Application Development Leaders to integrate quality engineering mindset/concepts within the DevOps framework/pipeline
- Partner with Solution Architects across LOB to identify E2E application architecture changes to drive QE strategies during testing
- Responsible for developing UI/API functional test automation code & load/ performance testing for UI & API
- Work with on-site, offshore team and give technical training to onsite and offshore team members
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a QA/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (cloud, web, business workflows and services/APIs, databases)
- Strong experience in developing and implementing efficient test strategies focused on automation and an expert in leading test framework design to provide efficient optimal coverage though test, component/service-based tests and complex “real life” test scenarios
- Successful track record of working cross-functionally at a leadership/ executive level
- Mortgage Knowledge will be an added advantage
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Experience in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools e.g., (unit test frameworks, SoapUI. Robotic Framework, TestNG) and script development using scripting languages (e.g., selenium, Java.)
- Experience on Qualitia test automation tool will be an advantage
- Expert knowledge of industry practices with focus on Agile, DevOps, environments and test integration
- Subject matter expert in in Selenium, Java, JMeter, Loan Runner, API automation & BDD framework, codeless / scriptless automation
- Expert in GitHub, VSTS
- Strong understanding of implementation of test automation at enterprise level
- Expert in UI / API Automation using selenium / java
- Expert in performance / load testing for UI & API
