Copper River Cyber Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the various Copper River clients across the government. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business unit; manage resources, schedules, and financials; and adhere to stage gate quality and control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle.

This position reports to the Program Manager and is hybrid.


Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Develop detailed program management and other plans and
  • Estimate resource requirements, define milestones and deliverables
  • Monitor activities to meet customer requirements, specifications, quality assurance standards and deliverable timeframes, and evaluate and report on accomplishments
  • Document and track program risks and issues, establish mitigation plans, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide effective management and utilization of resources across
  • Ensure accurate stakeholder identification and maintain effective stakeholder
  • Manage Project Team Leads to achieve project objectives
  • Cultivate the relationship with the Contracting Officer’s Representatives (COR), Contracting Officers (CO), and Government Task Managers (GTMs) with the goal of ensuring program related objectives are successfully met
  • Employ project management best practices and methodologies providing project and client leadership on behalf of the company
  • Participate in internal planning and reporting processes
  • Work with project team leads to develop objective performance measurements across all program areas, to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation, and goal setting for employees
  • Assist with preparing proposal content, writing, and coordinating proposal efforts throughout the solicitation life cycle
  • Monitor projects progress and collect data collect to determine estimate at completion
  • Support project audits, manage project schedules, and oversee regulatory compliance issues
  • Provide cost, schedule, planning, reporting, monitoring and analysis support to Program Managers including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and development of time-phased budgets and schedules
  • Assist with project set up in compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and requirements
  • Identify project risks and opportunities and provide analytical contribution in collaboration with the PgM, Contracts, Procurement and Finance/Accounting
  • Prepare/support internal program review (IPR) presentations for management
  • Prepare contract deliverable items for programs and ensure contractual requirements are met and customer deliverables are accurate and on time


Essential Job Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree or 10 year's prior relevant experience
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Minimum of five (8) years of project management experience in the Federal space
    • Depending on the assigned project, must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
    • Proven project portfolio and project manager experience and sound understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management
    • Proven experience in providing service, effectively interacting and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
    • Demonstrated capability for analyzing issues, problem solving, and decision making
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with senior management from customer/partner companies as well as senior customer officials
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills
    • Must be able to understand multi-level customer/user expectations and concerns
    • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong organizational skills, able to handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines
    • Must be analytical, possess strong communication and presentation skills and have the ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
  • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
    • PMI PMP Certification and/or DAWIA PM Level III certification
