As a Sr. Project Engineer – BEV Systems Engineering, you will specialize in BEV powertrain and EV charging at Oshkosh Delivery, and get the opportunity to evaluate, define, and integrate electronic control modules and electrical architectures on state of the art Delivery vehicle product lines.
To accomplish this goal, you need to have a deep understanding of automotive EE architecture and experience with specifying or integrating battery management systems, EV charging (J1772), torque arbitration controllers, E-axles, inverters, on-board chargers, and supporting systems.
YOUR IMPACT:
- Write, review, and manage requirements in a requirements management tool
- Review supplier specifications and guide internal teams for integration of the control modules
- Review test cases and guide the vehicle verification and validation team for proper execution of test cases
- Ensure traceability of requirements and validation results
- Support system level safety analysis along with the functional safety team
- Plan and coordinate the configurations for the various modules with the suppliers
- Document and generate incident reports and tickets to address requirements, testing, or configuration issues
- Take initiatives to bring open issues to a proper closure
- Own the systems engineering requirements and test cases associated with BEV powertrain and energy management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, software or comparable
- 8+ years of experience in automotive field
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in requirements management for systems engineering
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Experience working with CAN communication and protocols
- J1772 experience, DC charge/digital communication
- Occasional travel to support vehicle testing, program milestones, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Travel frequency will vary based on project needs and employee location.

Pay Range:
$104,100.00 - $173,900.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
